You know the saying “You couldn’t have planned it better if you tried”? Well that’s exactly what I told my sister yesterday when I recieved this video gem of my cute as a button niece Celia working so hard to walk while “dream the impossible dream” was being sung in the backround at a Memorial Day concert. Before I embark on a weekend of celebrating, I want to make sure to say “Thank You” to my sister Aimee, brother-in-law Eddie (currently deployed in Iraq) my father Gary, my step-mom Cheri  and the rest of you who are or have served in the military. Yesterday was a big day for me! You know, I was young when my parents divorced years and years ago, and at the time I thought my life had ended; and in a way I guess it did as I knew it, but like everything else in life that changes and evolves, so does the dynamic of family. As I celebrate Mothers Day (and Fathers Day) each year, I’m reminded that family is really about the people you hold dearest in your life; parents (both blood and step), siblings and friends all make up the family I count on regularly. I’m so thankful to have them in my life everyday. I’m also lucky to have grown up with two amazingy, inspiring women! My mother Vickey and my step-mother Cheri; throughout the curves and turns of my life, both of my mom’s have done nothing but support and inspire me to be the best I can, all while juggling their own trials and tribulations along the way, and for that I’m forever grateful.
