Yay!

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

So the past few days for me have been spent appreciating all the wonderful people I have in my life and how great it is to know you’re loved. At the end of the day I can sit and talk about how much I love to shop (especially for shoes) travel, etc. and admit that I’d give it all up just to spend time with my family and friends. There’s nothing better than sitting on a great patio, celebrating summer with colorful conversation. While sitting at the Polaris Grill yesterday with my parents, I was reminded of just how precious time spent with the people we love is; my sister called to confirm that after a year apart,  my brother-in-law will be back in Florida from Iraq by weeks end, and we couldn’t be more excited. Here’s to Aimee and Eddie enjoying what we take for granted everyday with the ones we love; just “being” together :) Happy Tuesday! -Trisha

It’s always great news when somone you love is safe and out of harms way; my family and I just recieved word that my brother-in-law Eddie will be returning safely from Iraq by months end to be with my sister and niece once again. It’s been a tough year for them and they made it!! Their life will begin where they left off soon and I couldn’t be more happy. Enjoy your Thursday! -Trisha-

Rob Thomas Rocks

Wednesday, June 17th, 2009

Every once in a while an artist rolls through the studios that I absolutely HAVE to meet! Rob Thomas is on of those artists; I’ve been inspired by his music and lyrics for years and was reminded why this morning. Not only was Rob friendly, but also spot on with his acoustic performance. It’s always great to actually hear an artist live and be impressed, and I was more than impressed today. This has been a Wednesday I’m never gonna forget!! -Trisha-

Congratulations!!!

To all of our Breakfast With Rob Thomas winners, congratulations!! We look forward to enjoying breakfast and an acoustic set with Rob Thomas and you, it should be an awesome time!! Hope everybody enjoyed your weekend as much as I did! My step-daughter Blair’s graduation party was this weekend, and it was so great to celebrate all of her accomplishments; I can’t believe how fast time goes and that she’ll be a young woman leaving for college in the fall to start a  new chapter in her life. We’re all very proud of  her! Have a happy Monday :)  -Trisha

Where Has All The Talk Gone?

Tuesday, June 9th, 2009

Lately I’ve been thinking. Are we ever going to get back to a place in relationships where men and women actually “talk”? Nowadays everything seems to be in the form of a text or e-mail (she said as she blogged). Depending on where you’re at in the relationship those methods are fine, but I still think face-to-face is the best way to start.

Starting a connection on Facebook or My Space? Technology in some cases has become our new matchmaker. Understandable. “ He Said/She Said” has found a permanent home on the Internet as a result. Looking back however, my best connections have come sitting across from that individual, not “chatting” with a computer keyboard miles away from them.

Girls want to “see” who they might be connecting with. Even if that meeting doesn’t go well at least you’ll have a better understanding as to where you stand. Regrets are better dealt with sooner than later. Meeting face-to-face cuts to the romantic chase. Another date could be the end result, or if it doesn’t go well, then think of all the time you’ll save in future, wasted postings to that person.

No one knows with absolute certainty what the sure-fire formula is. You can only continue to try, I guess and sometimes the old school ways can prove to be some of the best.
