Has It Really Been 20 Years?!?

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

So, here I’ve been going on about my business, enjoying my wonderful, blessed life, and all of sudden it hits me like a brick wall: I’m getting older and 20 years has flown by!! I knew it was going to happen eventually, but…NOT NOW! :) My 20 year class reunion is this weekend, and I’m SO excited to catch up with classmates I haven’t seen in a long time. Of course, I talk to some on Facebook regularly, but this is going to be a great weekend of ‘remembering when’; not to mention looking back at all the big hair, mullets, shoulder pads and other bad fashion trends that made the 80’s what they were…FUN!! You can bet I’ve been planning my wardrobe for a few weeks now, and I can guarantee that I’m going to be making an entrance with a more stylish persona 20 years later. haha   Here’s to enjoying your past and feeling good about where you’ve ended up so far! Wishing you just as fabulous a weekend as I know I’m going to have! Trisha

Transform from Grizzly to Groomed

The new BHT-600, a body + back groomer.

Remington’s new body and back groomer is great for getting rid of any unwanted hair on the chest, back, abs, groin and legs.  It’s convenient features include an extendable handle (an exclusive detail) for hard-to-reach areas and 360-degree attachments/bi-directional heads for added versatility. Retailing for $39.99, it’s a more affordable alternative than laser hair removal and can be used in or out of the shower.  With the warmer weather, this is a tool every guy will want to own, so that he can hit the beach or pool with confidence. The BHT-600 is available nationwide at Target and www.remington-products.com.

Re-Discovery

Monday, July 27th, 2009

So, this weekend I spent a lovely evening catching up with one of my dearest friends Kerry; it was such a great time! With my single gal schedule and her soccer mom schedule, it’s become harder and harder for us to get together these days, so it’s always a special treat :)  And boy! What a special treat is was; not only did Kerry get a much needed “mommy me” night, but the both of us re-discoverd our love for Italian food!! If you’ve never been to Scali Ristorante and Deli, may I suggest you get there STAT!! WOW,WOW, WOW…it’s been YEARS since I last dined at this Columbus gem (since Kerry was pregnant with her first child), and because they’re kind of off the beaten path, I tend to forget just how worth the drive Scali’s is when it comes to authentic Italian cuisine! I seriously had the best tortellini (Peasant Tortellini) I’ve had in years!! Columbus is filled with so many wonderful local establishments, and Scali is certainly in the category of “local favorite”. Plan a date night and make the trip to 1901 St. Rt. 256 in Reynoldburg, I promise that you won’t go away disappointed!!!!! Happy Monday - Trisha

Manscaping…

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

After Dino and Shawn brought up the topic of Manscaping this morning, I realized that it’s recently been a topic among my girlfriends and I too; is it “ok” for a guy to shave his chest, arms etc? I have to admit, that I’m a fan of men with chest hair…now, before I go further, let me make clear that while I think a guy with hair on his chest is HOT, I don’t think it’s so much when it isn’t well groomed. This is where manscaping comes in; when is too much, too much? I’m a fan of being “well groomed” and I don’t think I have to elaborate any further than that ;-) But when I’m feeling stubble on a dudes chest, I gotta say it kind of creeps me out. So…with the Abercrombie boy look being the man look of choice these days, I have to say that if you’re a guy who is in to being all “sleek” then at the very least pay the extra money to go get waxed guys…it’s painful and it’s not fun (believe me, I know from experience) but it lasts longer and feels a whole lot softer to the touch when the re-growth begins. A hot man is a hot man, regardless whether he does or doesn’t sport the man hair…but a hot boy with stubble in places he shouldn’t have it, is really just not that sexy. Thoughts? Happy Thursday :) Trisha

Hhhhhmmmmm

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009

Whenever it’s a dreary day like today, I’m inclined to want to burrow in my apartment with pajamas on, popcorn popped and a good movie playing…sigh…heaven. Instead, I’m working and wishing!! :) I think I’m going to rock out to Rihanna’s “Umbrella” and keep on hoping for sunshine. Regardless of what weather Mother Nature is serving up, I hope you’re having a super fab day! Rain, Rain, Go Away…that’s really all I have to say! ;-) Happy Hump Day Trisha

Leave This Town

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

While a lot of you were out at all hours of the night seeing the new Harry Potter flick last night, I was sitting at home on my couch listening to the new album from Daughtry! I’ve been anticipating the sophmore effort from Chris Daughtry and his band and have to say I wasn’t disappointed. While I’ll admit, that as of right now, I’m still liking the debut album better, ‘Leave This Town’ is growing on me by the minute; the familiar sounds of Daughtry’s first release color the second album, but new sounds abound as well, like “Tennesee”, a great ballad that includes vocals from country singing legend Vince Gill and fiddles. I’m not convinced there will be as many hits off of Daughtry’s second release, but I am convinced Daughtry fans will embrace this album with open arms. Enjoy!! :) -Trisha
