This past weekend I spend two days cleaning my apartment and getting ready for fall/winter. I packed away all of my bank statements, paid bill statements and the like to ready for a new year; packed my spring/summer wardrobe away and so on and so on…and this was just my own personal space! I can’t imagine the things you need to prepare for living in your own home with a family! MSN has come up with a great “winterizing” list of things you might want to check before the cold weather arrives…get prepared, it’s gonna be here whether we’re ready or not!

Went and saw “Young Frankenstein” last night at The Ohio Theater and it was, without a doubt, one of the best shows I’ve seen!! I belly laughed through the entire production. If you have a chance, make a trip to see this show before it leaves on Sunday!!!

Tired of the flirtacious behavior they receive from male cab drivers, a group of women in the Mexican city of Puebla have started an exclusive, all female cab service! Pink Taxi Company doesn’t stop for men and each car is equipt with a beauty kit, GPS system and alarm button. While the company says their female passengers are happier and more relaxed during their trip, some women’s right’s activist’s are saying the pink taxi’s aren’t addressing the root of the harassment issue and are focusing too heavily on beauty. What I want to know is why this city is having a hard time employing polite men to drive their taxi’s around town? I mean, really? The city of Puebla had to spend money to form an entire cab service devoted to women because they couldn’t find a decent male cabby to do his job without hitting on women passengers? That’s pretty sad…

So, last night at the Colbie Caillat/Howie Day show (which was fantastic, b.t.w.) I happened to notice this ultra cool purse the girl next to me was carrying; and of course, me being the inquisitive girl I am, I just had to know where she got it!! To say that she was enthusiastic about her purse is an understatement, I now know more about the Reverse-A-Purse than I ever thought possible in such a short time
If you’re an 80’s child like myself, then you remember the reverse purses from that era that had the wooden handle, well I am here to tell you that these are an updated and more fashionable version of the classic! You can even get them in several sizes, all which reverse to three different patterns! I am so on my way to a store near me to purchase my first three in one gem!

Yesterday I FINALLY went to my first live show at The Shadowbox Cabaret at Easton!! If you’ve never been before…GO, GO, GO!! My friends and I had such an enjoyable time seeing “Woodstock, Back To The Garden”, which is running through November 15th. The music, acting and even the hippie, trippy themed menu was a blast!! How lucky we are to have such great live theater in Columbus!
